When you think of shared hosting, you usually consider this type of hosting service because of its cheapness. That is, this kind of hosting is the least expensive and most economical among all the other types (with an exception of course, to free hosting, for an obvious reason). But as a result, people dont often think much about the costs anymore once they get a shared server. There are, after all, certain costs that come with signing up for a shared server:

Setup Fees these are paid upfront and are usually much more expensive than the monthly payments. Fortunately, most web hosting sites that support shared hosting already throw in free installation in their package.
Billing obviously, this is the monthly payments that you have to give in order to stay under the shared server. Take note, however, that those that offer this service usually require a 12-month subscription contract. So you pay for 1-years use of the server upfront.
